Maria's Monday Madness Video Tutorial - Thanksgiving Card

Hello Friends! You're back, Maria!! Where have you been? LOL! I'm sorry I've been MIA for the past few days. . . a week as a matter of fact. It's been a buzy crazy week. The end of the month is always a busy time for me and try as I might, I can't seem to get things together at the end of the month. I, typically, prepare all the kits for my club members and I always seem to think that I can whip it up real quick but it always end up to be longer than I anticipated . Argghh!! I gotta stick to a better schedule.

Anyway. . .I finally got my "Maria's Monday Madness" up and running on YouTube. I know it's late. It seems my computer and my video program are determined to drive me crazy and they managed to do a good job of doing so this time around.

I had started on the tutorial on Monday morning and had to leave to run some errands. When I returned to finish it off, well. . .a bad, bad thing happened. When I opened up the program, all the videos were blank! OMG. . .I saw RED!! I couldn't BELIEVE it!! All that was left to do was add the music but nope, I had to start over!! I was so upset.

Then. . .when I finally re-did the video, I tried to add the music. Okay. . .I did not know that iTunes are in a M4P format meaning write-protected so I couldn't add the music I wanted to use on to the video. Luckily, I had a bunch of MP3s on my computer.

Anyway. . .I hope you like the video. I have a music video type of tutorial called "Friday Card Frenzy" but yuck, they are so amateurish. I'm actually embarrassed about them but they are still on YouTube anyway.

I'm trying to improve the quality of my videos. This week's tutorial is sort of like a few music cardmaking videos out there. Okay. . .I'm a copy cat but it seems that people seem to like this type of video tutorials. I do admit they're fun but not very "instructional". Let me know if you prefer this format than my "talking" on the video. I won't be offended if you don't like my "instructional" videos. I'm going to do both because sometimes, the music type don't really "teach" you a technique.

Oh. . .I made a mistake on the tutorial and titled my tutorial "Maria's Manic Monday" rather than what it suppose to be "Maria's Monday Madness. Either way, I was going MAD and MANIC. I really have a hate-hate relationship with my computer. I want a new computer and a new video program but my husband just bought the video program about a month ago. I guess I have to live with it for now.

I decided to use the Harvest Home stamp set. . .again colored with SU Markers on watercolor paper. I also added speckles using the "Color Spritzer Tool".

I again used the Filigree designer brad on to my Chocolate Chip satin ribbon (retired). I used the "Urban Garden" paper. . .love this paper. The design is soooo pretty.

I sort of wished I added a little more green to the colors. Oh, well. It is fall so I tried to stick to the fall colors.

The scallops around the image was created using the regular "Fiskar" scissors. I didn't use a die.

I am back on track so I'm excited to start posting again like normal. Thank you for your patience. I really appreciate y'all stickin' around.

Maria...I just love your cards. They are all so gorgeous. I prefer the instrutional videos, where you speak to give instructions about the technique you are doing, rather than the background music.
